Technology for Teachers - This truly is the time of the “Digital Native” and our students deserve a teacher who is willing to create a 21st century learning environment. Technology for Teachers is designed to provide instruction and best practice for effectively integrating technology with instruction. The SAMR model and TPACK will be discussed as models for the integration process. G-Suite/Office 365 tools will be explored for collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. The entire course is hands-on, “make it, take it” style, so you will be ready to show off your new skills and impress your students.
Assessment for Learning - This courses is designed to provide the best methods for increasing student achievement and examining the relationship between curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Topics include: Alignment of standards/indicators with objectives, effective formative assessments, sound design in creating assessments (selected response, written response, personal communication), meaningful feedback, rubrics and checklists, reliability and validity, and effective grading practices.
Mentoring Young Teachers - This is a practical course for helping mentors empower new teachers by encouragement, modeling, and support.
